Position Summary We are seeking an ES&H Assistant SSO Contracts for the Mining & Metals team, based in Iquique (Camp 1), Chile. The purpose of this role is to support the Health and Safety (H&S) project management team in all administrative requirements related to the function, contribute to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies and systems, including the preparation of the corresponding documentation, reports and/or spreadsheets, perform the technical aspects of information processing and data analysis in areas relevant to the project. Essential Job Functions As an ES&H Assistant SSO Contracts, you will be primarily responsible for: Collecting and delivering information to Supervisor for the development and maintenance of programs, systems and procedures. Maintaining S&H (*) databases, including incident events, audit/evaluation findings, and corrective actions. Collecting, recording and ensuring the availability of updated and correcting information for subsequent risk assessment and at S&H (*) meetings in response to needs. Preparing communications, writing reports and preparing documents for program implementation and record retention. Preparing incident notifications, meeting notices and S&H (*) meeting logs. Proposing improvements or initiatives in the processes, procedures and work activities. Participating in employee training, emergency preparedness and quality control programs. Coordinating the S&H (*) Recognition Programs. Collecting, classifying and documenting the information base of the security plan, in order to have updated, complete and easily accessible data, for the use of S&H (*) field and office personnel. Carrying out the purchase and delivery of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to Bechtel staff when necessary. (*) S&H: Safety and Health What We Need from You We expect from the successful candidate of this position to have the following knowledge and/or experience in: Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent technical training) related to ES&H (Environment, Safety and Health), or science related discipline or engineering degree; or 5+ years of relevant experience in safety and health. Knowledge of Microsoft office tools with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Power Point (intermediate level). Additional Qualifications English (desirable).
