Lead Mineral Processing - Metallurgical Engineer At BBA, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeingstrategic metallurgical projects. You'll identify and implement opportunitiesfor improvement in metallurgical performance of processing plants, eitherthrough continuous improvement, growth projects or by deploying leading-edgetechnology and innovation as well as transferring it. You'll also participatein due diligence exercises for sound technical metallurgical processing onacquisitions, mergers and partnerships. You'll be asked to share Chilean industrybest practices with our offices across BBA to help better understand localrealities. Finally, you'll perform continuous improvement of productionplanning and forecasting.
With us, you'll get the opportunity to Prepare technical documents forstudies, ranging from conceptual to feasibility. These technical documents willinclude block diagrams, process flow diagrams, mass balance, processsimulation, OPEX and CAPEX. Work with a team of skilledengineers, designers and project support staff. Manage a variety ofcross-discipline teams to ensure cost-effective, safe and timely completion ofprojects that meet or exceed client expectations. Review and approve process plantmaterial balance, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts,technical specifications and technical evaluations. Prepare capital and operatingcost evaluations. Liaise with clients on atechnical level and present reports, publications and presentations in aprofessional manner. Create and review proposals. Overview of certifications and job requirements Bachelor'sdegree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent Over 15years of experience, most of them in the mining industry Over 5years of experience in the consulting industry and 10 years in operations Strongexperience in hydrometallurgy, copper and/or gold concentrator (main minesin South America) Solidexperience in flotation Strongknowledge in capital costs and operating costs of Chilean copperoperations Verygood understanding of all unit operations typically found on ametallurgical process flowsheet Knowledgeof modelling software such as Molycop, JKSimMet and BILMAT tools Strongtechnical profile, passionate for coaching and mentoring Strongnetwork of clients in Chile and good aptitude for business development Stronglevel of English (spoken, written, reading) Asset:Experience with copper, iron ore and lithium.
