About the RoleManager Project Engineering provides leadership in developing project strategies, tender processes, standards, and frameworks to ensure safe, efficient, and effective project execution from construction to operation.
Key AccountabilitiesPrioritize safety in all activities.Provide engineering expertise and manage resources for medium to large projects.Coordinate project engineering resources and serve as the main contact for project deliverables.Work with project managers to meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements.Identify and implement efficiency and productivity improvements.Develop capability plans to ensure skilled project engineering resources.Ensure compliance with technical and engineering standards.Contribute engineering expertise to value improvement practices.Manage third-party project engineering performance.Develop and nurture talent within the function.Coach and mentor team members to meet performance targets.Capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.Collaborate with commissioning teams to support project execution strategies.Monitor project engineering progress and minimize schedule delays.Work with engineering leadership to develop standards.Implement quality management plans for engineering scope.About YouDecisive leader with change management skills.Strong interpersonal, supervisory, and team collaboration skills.Excellent planning, goal-setting, and prioritization abilities.Proactive and objectives-oriented with leadership qualities.Effective at managing change and supporting team adaptation.Problem-solving skills with innovative solutions.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Willingness to learn and improve continuously.Ability to manage resources across multiple projects of varying complexity.Minimum RequirementsCivil Engineer, any discipline, with licensure.At least 15 years of mining project experience, including 5 years leading teams.Experience working with engineering contractors, including cost estimation, planning, and scheduling for mining projects.Proficiency in MS Office.Experience with multidisciplinary engineering teams.Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).We Support a Diverse Workforce At BHP, we adhere to Law 21,015 on Inclusion.
