Software Engineer - Specialist

What you'll do Develop a deep understanding of cloud-native, distributed microservice-based architectures.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including product, business, and sales partners.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, simplifying complex problems and diving deeper when needed.
Collaborate with architects, SRE leads, and other technical leaders on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices.
Manage teams with cross-functional skills, including software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers, and scrum masters.
Mentor, coach, and develop junior and senior engineers.
Ensure compliance with Equifax's secure software development guidelines and best practices, maintaining KPIs related to QE, DevSec, and FinOps.
Define, maintain, and report SLA, SLO, SLIs in partnership with product, engineering, and architecture teams, meeting Equifax engineering standards.
Drive technical documentation, including support, end-user documentation, and run books.
Lead sprint planning, retrospectives, and other team activities.
Implement architecture decisions related to product features/stories, refactoring, and EOSL decisions.
Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, communicating complex information clearly and concisely.
Perform R&D, prototyping, and proof of concepts for cloud-native solutions.
Design and develop cloud-native solutions, including big data processing with Dataflow/Apache Beam, Bigtable, BigQuery, PubSub, GCS, Composer/Airflow, and others.
Develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes.
Deploy and release software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, understand infrastructure-as-code concepts, Helm Charts, and Terraform.
What experience you need Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of software engineering experience.
7+ years experience writing, debugging, and troubleshooting code in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
7+ years experience with Cloud technology: AWS.
7+ years experience designing and developing cloud-native solutions.
7+ years experience designing and developing microservices with Java, Spring Boot, GCP SDKs, GKE/Kubernetes.
7+ years experience deploying and releasing software using Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, with an understanding of infrastructure-as-code, Helm Charts, and Terraform.
