**Environmental Health Specialist I/II**The Environmental Health Specialist (EHS) is a professional-level position responsible for conducting a wide variety of activities. This position conducts fieldwork, gathers and analyzes water quality data. Writes reports utilizing statistical models, charts, graphs and maps. Investigates failing septic systems and informs citizens of corrective actions necessary. Responds to public complaints and enforces county code.**Education and/or Experience**EHS I: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university in public health, sanitary science, bacteriology, dairy science, veterinary medicine, engineering, or a basic natural or physical science OR related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.EHS II: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university in public health, sanitary science, bacteriology, dairy science, veterinary medicine, engineering, or a basic natural or physical science and two (2) years as an EHSI, OR related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.***Hours & Compensation**:UFCW, EHS I, Grade 30, starting pay typically $30.26. Full hourly range $30.26-$36.13/hr, DOE.UFCW, EHS II Grade 32, starting pay typically $32.54. Full hourly range $32.54-$38.86/hr, DOE.Two positions available, one for 40 hrs/wk, one for 32 hrs/wk.Full medical benefits, including dental and vision.
