Procurement / Expeditor Associate

Working within a project team environment, potentially on multiple projects.- Proactively performing expediting activities to ensure the delivery of equipment, materials, services, and related documentation.- Developing and maintaining status reports.- Attending and potentially managing purchase order kick-off meetings.- Attending local expediting visits, as required.- Closing purchase orders.- Communicating with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order.- Reviewing material and service invoices for accuracy.- Coordinating transportation and logistics, as required.- Performing other duties as requested- Leading purchase order kick-off meetings- Expediting purchase orders, as required- Initiating the close-out of purchase orders- Communicating with suppliers to resolve issues affecting a purchase order.- Attending status meetings with clients, project management and suppliers.- Mentoring, supporting and guiding staff.- Assisting the procurement lead in the development or improvement of corporate work processes and procedures.- Performing other duties as requested by the company.**Requirements**:- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline, Business Administration, or related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement.- Strong understanding of business processes.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Strong negotiation skills.- Strong organizational skills.- Strong analytical skills.- Strong multitasking skills.- Ability to work in a team environment.- Ability to work independently.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- Clerical experience in a related function.- Excellent organizational and communication skills.- Strong attention to details.- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Ability to adapt in a changing environment.- Ability to work with mínimal supervisionOther: Master and relevant certifications are an added advantage
