We are looking for an adaptable and highlyskilled Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build ascalable technology platform that can serve both retail/mass affluentinvestors and General Partners of top-tier funds. The ideal candidatewill have experience in building APIs at scale, strong SRE skills, andthe ability to model complex domain models. Responsibilities:
Buildand maintain a scalable backend system with resilient workflows tohandle large transaction volumes. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to prioritize software features and requirements. Write clean,efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standardsand best practices. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to otherteam members to ensure code quality and maintainability. Participatein architecture and design discussions to ensure that softwaresolutions are scalable, robust, and secure. Develop and maintaintechnical documentation, including system requirements, designdocuments, and user manuals. Stay up-to-date with the latest softwaredevelopment technologies, tools, and trends and apply them to projectsas appropriate. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positiveand collaborative team culture. Work with the product team tounderstand user needs and requirements and translate those intotechnical solutions thatcan be implemented quickly and efficiently.Take ownership of software development projects from end to end,including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, andmaintenance. Collaborate closely with other team members, includingdesigners, product managers, and other engineers, to ensure thatsoftware solutions are delivered on time and meet the needs of thebusiness. Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in ComputerScience, Computer Engineering, or related field. 6+ years ofexperience in software development, including experience in buildingscalable APIs. Strong proficiency in Python, Django, Postgres, andKubernetes. Strong understanding of SRE practices and experience inbuilding resilient systems. Experience with cloud-based technologiessuch as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong problem-solvingskills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently oras part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with the latest software development tools andtechnologies, and a willingness to learn new skills and technologiesas needed. Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for working in astartup environment. Strong experience in software development, with afocus on building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
