We are looking for an adaptable and highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build a scalable technology platform that can serve both retail/mass affluent investors and General Partners of top-tier funds. The ideal candidate will have experience in building APIs at scale, strong SRE skills, and the ability to model complex domain models. Responsibilities:Build and maintain a scalable backend system with resilient workflows to handle large transaction volumes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize software features and requirements. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other team members to ensure code quality and maintainability. Participate in architecture and design discussions to ensure that software solutions are scalable, robust, and secure. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and user manuals. Stay up-to-date with the latest software development technologies, tools, and trends and apply them to projects as appropriate. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. Work with the product team to understand user needs and requirements and translate those into technical solutions thatcan be implemented quickly and efficiently. Take ownership of software development projects from end to end, including planning, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Collaborate closely with other team members, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, to ensure that software solutions are delivered on time and meet the needs of the business. Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. 6+ years of experience in software development, including experience in building scalable APIs. Strong proficiency in Python, Django, Postgres, and Kubernetes. Strong understanding of SRE practices and experience in building resilient systems. Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with the latest software development tools and technologies, and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies as needed. Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for working in a startup environment. Strong experience in software development, with a focus on building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
