The Senior Managing Associate General Counsel is responsible for managing a group of employees.Essential Job Functions- Litigate First-Party insurance lawsuits.- Negotiate, write, and execute agreements and contracts- Ensure legal objectives are met- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates- Draft responses to civil remedy notices- Conduct examinations under oath- Provide leadership through mentoring legal support staff- Fully and effectively utilize available technology to oversee appropriate litigation strategies.- Manage a group of attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and litigation administrative assistants.Marginal Job Functions- Conducts legal research and investigation on legal defenses- Develops oral and written advice and presents recommendations to management- Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda- Other duties as assigned**Requirements**:- Experience in litigation and a law firm environment- Ability to multi-task- Problem Solving/Analysis- Law degree/admitted to the bar- Submission Requirements Please include a management Operational Plan proposal setting out the objectives and execution plan for processing an inventory of 100 new property damage lawsuits (50 weather and 50 non weather) per week for a period of 6 months.Benefit Highlights- Industry leading medical, dental and vision insurance plan- 401(k) Retirement Plan with a company match of 100% on up to 5% of compensation (match is fully-vested immediately)- Generous PTO policy- Eligible for performance based bonuses
