At Siemens Gamesa we make real what matters, join our global team.Position Overview ?Technical Support Engineer providing both remote and onsite technical support of systems and components within the Offshore wind turbine.Siemens is currently seeking an additional member for our dedicated Technical Support ( L1 ) team providing both remote and onsite technical support for systems and components within the Offshore turbine platformRelocation will not be offered for this role.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Advanced troubleshooting of direct drive wind turbine through the analysis of remote dataGuiding site technicians through non destructive testing and troubleshooting through the telephone, video calls, or augmented reality technologyAttend phone calls from sites and respond to technical query by listening carefully and providing step by step guidance in troubleshooting of turbinesHelp sites, commissioning team, spares and supplies team and after market team with parts identification, specifications and finding alternate parts to enable reducing turbine downtimeRespond to cases in various case management systems like Salesforce, MORS, Windhub, and JIRA on first come first serve basis unless it is a turbine downHelp training team by providing technical guidance and conducting training session as and when needed, conduct customer visits to remote operations centerEnsure response time of less than 48 hours and case completion/escalation within 5 daysHelp commissioning team with all technical issues during the commissioning and handing over of turbines from project to operations phasePresent and explain technical issues to a wide variety of people in a clear mannerHelp documentation team for creating draft documents by providing technical/quality/safety inputsHelp Quality, Environment, Health and Safety team to conduct Rapid risk assessment, create and disseminate quality documents and bulletins as and when neededAsses and quantify failure trends and material consumption through the use of data analyticsYou will work in a flexible shift pattern to provide 7-day cover. Should be extremely organized with respect to documentation and should be able to access the same asap.Willing to travel up to 25% of the time and work hands on in the turbine at height of 70 meters or more , as and when necessaryRequires great verbal and written communication skills, customer service driven, professional and positive attitude all the timeNeed to undergo and pass fitness test, basic climb, rescue , CPR, classroom and hands-on training at training center and site/s and others as per the Offshore platform requirements.Required Knowledge/ Skills, Education :Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR Associate Engineering degree with at least 8 years hands on work experience in wind turbine trouble-shooting or major component change outs OR Diploma with at least 10 years hands on experience in wind turbine trouble shooting or major component changeoutsPreference for bilingual English ( Mandatory ) and Spanish ( Desirable )Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
