Job Description:
Our client is a top-rated Marketing Agency in NYC and is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing videos provided to you, making note of necessary cuts or edits, executing those edits seamlessly, and enhancing the final product with graphics or branding elements. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills in video editing software, and a creative mindset to ensure the highest quality output.
Responsibilities:
Reviewing videos provided by the team and/or clients to understand the content and objectives. Making detailed notes regarding sections that require editing or cutting based on predefined criteria or creative judgment. Using video editing software to cut and splice relevant sections together, ensuring smooth transitions and a coherent narrative. Enhancing the video by adding graphics, logos, or other branding elements as needed to align with company standards or client preferences. Collaborating with team members, including producers, directors, and other editors, to ensure the final product meets project requirements and deadlines. Communicating effectively with stakeholders to understand their vision and incorporate feedback into the editing process. Requirements:
Proven experience as a video editor, with a portfolio showcasing editing skills and creativity. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. A creative mindset with a keen eye for visual storytelling and aesthetics. Familiarity with motion graphics and animation techniques is a plus. Very strong spoken and written English skills
