You will be responsible to provide technical onsite and offsite support and expertise in response to a variety of site work requests, telephone calls and emails regarding installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and programming questions and to technical problems encountered by users of ABB medium voltage drives, low voltage drives and systems. Delivers outstanding customer service in timely and high quality manner to earn customer loyalty.
This position reports toEngineering Manager I
Your responsibilities- Complete assignments on project and services of medium or major size, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.- Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of ABB medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) variable frequency drives (VFD)- Coordinates, prepares and ensures that all materials, parts and equipment of systems are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities. Prepares standard lists for easy of work, procedures, test report and all document needed for site activities.- Investigate problems and independently initiate effective measures for their solution.- Participate proactively in contributing feedback regarding product quality issues to reduce warranty costs.- Submit completed, detailed and comprehensive service reports in a timely manner and follows up when needed.- Coaches and provides technical guidance to colleagues, departments and customers.- Communicate effectively and present information to management team, customers, vendors and other employees of the organizationYour background- Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering.- Spoken and written English/Spanish.- Eight years of experience working in similar positions.- Low and medium voltage variable frequency drives engineering, installation and commissioning.- Flexibility and openness to new knowledge.- Mechanical parts of drives systems.- ACS 5000 and/or ACS6000 systems knowledge is desirable.- Readiness for often and/or long working trips within Chile and outside of the country.- Availability to travel (100% national and international trips).More about usWe look forward to receiving your application (documents submitted in English are appreciated).
