By using its **significant experience in this area**, we can significantly de-risk your project, along with providing guarantees of performance, stability, and scalability that few companies can provide.**Our proposal**:We are looking for a **Senior Database Administrator (MySQL & PostgreSQL)** to work in an international environment with **people from all over the globe**.We invite you to join this **diverse and hard-working team** in the task of building and significantly improving the **most demanding online gambling platforms**.**Your everyda**:- Design, deploy and support high available and scalable distributed MySQL & PostgreSQL databases for high-volume transactions.- Ensure the performance, security, and availability of 24x7 mission-critical databases in a mixture of containerized and non-containerized environments.- Cross Data Centre Replication- Configuration Management using Puppet, Ansible and Terraform.- Automation using Shell, Python, and configuration management.- Database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, and deployments, among others.- Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary.- Ensure Change management process is followed- Collaborate with other team members and business stakeholders- Maintain and develop data models, structures, and procedures to ensure the integrity of all database components.- Prepare crystal clear documentation and specifications including database design and coding standards.**It could be a perfect match if you have**:- Excellent **English** verbal and written communication skills- **5+ years** of overall IT experience, with **4+ years** of relevant experience in MySQL and PostgreSQL.- Strong **Linux** Administration Skills- Scripting languages like **Shell, Python, or Ruby**:- Config management tools like **Puppet, Terraform and Ansible** etc.- Experience with **optimization and performance tuning**:- Extremely organized with strong attention to detail**It would be a plus**:- Knowledge of other Database technologies (Cassandra, Elastic Search, Mongo DB,SQLServer, Oracle)- Docker Containers and Kubernetes- Cloud migration and management- Code versioning tools like GIT and SVN- Knowledge of nix tuning would be helpful- Experience on Monitoring tools like Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus.- Proficiency in database management duties- Up to date knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices- Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications- Previous Training or Certifications would be a plus- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent education**What do we offer?**- Diverse and international team- Fantastic opportunity for self-development, progress, and learning new technologies- Top market salaries in USD- Training- Flexible working hours- 100% remote position
