**Job Purpose/Overview**:- This position drives the Q& FS agenda through the development of our Quality management Process for SC Market Unit.- The associate will require full knowledge & understanding of our business standards and quality systems to drive full compliance to our QMP. The position will build and implement trainings, manage the auditing program and quality incidents, drive continuous improvement and compliance to our standards and business expectations.This role delivers value to the business through ensuring continuous focus on the quality of all our external manufacturing operations, distribution and sales. A Quality and Food Safety Marketing Unit leader is a challenging yet highly rewarding role, which interfaces with all parts of the business.**What are we looking for?**:- The position requires a person who is able to work independent, executing tasks and undertaking his priorities according to general alignments. This role safeguards the Quality and Food safety of SC market products and ensures compliance to the Global Market Unit Standards acting as a liaison with one or more of the three market segments (Pet Food and MWC).The job holder needs to have good relationship skills, because he/she are permanently in contact with local and regional teams. At the same time this role needs to assure short term deliveries and long term results, in a high action oriented skill basis. The challenge here is not to forget or procrastinate things, but plan and adjust the day accordingly.The associate on this position should promote and champion the importance of quality in the market unit, making sure quality performance and initiatives are visible at all levels of the organization, providing training and support on quality standards and processes to internal and external stakeholders.A technical background knowledge on Quality is extremely necessary in order to act as a PRIMP incident owner, including responsibility for communication and management of any product related incidents caused by the market unit's activities- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical area such as Quality in Logistics Operations, Quality, R&D, laboratory management quality systems, or food process engineering.An advanced understanding of quality systems with an emphasis on Auditing of suppliers/vendors and food safety programs.Ability to travel 25% of time - including international travel**What will be your key responsibilities?**:- Governance of the External Manufacturing Quality Management (EMQM) program in the Market Unit (MU)- Undertaking the Co-packer Risk Assessment (RA).- Undertaking the co-packer audits and defining co-packer status- Visit the 3PL Warehouse- Execute the External Manufacturing Program Risk Assessment (EMPRA) and Technical Specification documents.- Governance the Distribution Quality Management (DQM) program in the MU involving the whole logistic pipeline (warehouse / transport / disposal);- Responsible for audit, inspection, evaluation and recommendation for new Warehouse- Undertaking the Third Part Logistic Warehouse (3PL) Audit, Risk Assessment (RA) and define status.- Execute the Transport and Storage Specification (TSS) documents.- Leads PRIMP and CAPA follow-up in the MU.- Governance of the QMP process in the MU.- Lead MU relevant standards deployment.- Governance of MU relevant Standards- Costumer and Consumer quality complaint, evaluation, respond, escalation and follow up, identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives to drive product quality and consumer/costumer complaint reduction.- Drive MU QMP systems- Compilation and trend evaluation of all metrics related to External Manufacturing, DQM, PRIMP, CPM, CAPA and report to the Business Unit (BU) following the process and timeline defined.- Accountable for Performance review**What can you expect from Mars?**:- Work with over 130,000 like-minded and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles.- Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.- Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.- An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
