Purpose:Positions holders focus on SMEs and are responsible for sales activities directly to the customer. Activities include: -Face-to-face and remote sales to new customers and cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers -Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions -Developing and delivering sales bids/proposals/presentations and conducting product demonstrations -Developing medium to long-term sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customersAccountability Level:Is a master professional in a corporate specialist Job Family/centre of excellence. Establishes operational/Job Family Group plans for job area over the short to mid-term (1-3 years) with a direct impact on results. Influences business decisions made by leadership on complex issues that are of strategic importance.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute sales and marketing plan for developing business, including product revenue targets- Identify and evaluate potential new opportunities and provide suitable recommendation to boost sales of products / increase market share- Implement/support the national accounts plan- Ensure the attainment of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets- Assist establishing a customer base in which to promote and solicit new, diverse, on-going business- Maintain market awareness; stay in touch with market trends including economic, environmental and competitive forces influencing the market.- Enforce standards, monitor pricing practices, execute objectives and hold team accountable for performance.- Ensure effective adherence to company policies, procedures and sales process.- Ensure optimal team performance and capability by providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, development and corrective action.- Create and maintain relationships at key levels with select customers and accounts; ensure timely and thorough follow-up.- Ensure that assigned sector attracts, develops and retains the highest quality sales talent available in the market place.- Create a portfolio of new business customers- Implement a Territory Sales Plan, detailing strategy, objectives and planned activity- Execute comprehensive customer account plans and sales opportunity plans- Build a robust sales pipeline and forecast that will yield future profitable revenue streams- Provide proactive information about relevant market activities within the assigned territory or market sector- Develop a detailed knowledge of competitive products and services in area of operation & submit accurate competitor information report on a monthly basis.Typical Experience:University Degree- About UsWe are the people who use our big boxes to make a massive difference.
