Assistant Controller - Florida

**_Contact H&A for Details_**:**Position Details & Responsibilities**:Our client is a Heavy Equipment dealership seeking an **Assistant Controller **in **Florida. **This role will be responsible for overseeing and leading a variety of activities in the finance and accounting department.**Responsibilities include**:- Oversees general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, fixed asset details, depreciation, and operating expenses.- Leads the month-end closing process, including reconciliations and variance analysis for cost discrepancies on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.- Supervises and contributes to the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports.- Directs internal reviews of accounting and administrative controls, establishing and improving financial system controls.- Acts as a liaison with external auditors and tax accountants, coordinating the preparation of audit materials and financial reports for tax returns.- Assists in overseeing the accounts payable, general accounting, and payroll departments.- Coordinates compliance with regulatory agencies at local, state, and federal levels, including tax-related matters.**If you're interested in learning more, reach out to Kimberly Brenner at Herk & Associates****Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business- 3+ years experience in a finance role- Masters in Business Administration preferred- CPA preferred- Strong verbal and written communication skills
