Reporting to the Study Manager, is responsible for oversee specialist consultants carrying out fieldwork, laboratory test work and preliminary mine infrastructure design work as a basis for project site layout, capital and operating cost estimation and project definition for permitting. The Project Infrastructure engineer will work closely with the project's geology, mining, metallurgy, process, water management, permitting specialists.**Key Duties & Responsibilities**- Design and supervise consultants executing a waste characterization program (geochemical, geotechnical) including compilation and review of existing data and incorporation of updated project material balances in the characterization dataset- Coordination and supervision of specialist consultants carrying out inspection of the project's conveyor tunnel and producing a conceptual conveyor design,- Execution of a tailings multi-account assessment (MAA) study,- Coordination and supervision of an as-built survey and borrow quarry site identification for the Project tailings storage facility (TSF) in San Juan Argentina,- Design and execution of a project-wide dust modeling study,- Preparation of general arrangement drawings and capital cost estimates for project infrastructure for multiple project development options. Assessment of strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities for project infrastructure designs for multiple project development options.**Qualifications, skills & requirements**- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, civil engineering- Experience in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Enginering or Mining Infrastructure design; including waste dumps, surface water management systems, tailings facilities, tunnels, conveyors.- Over 10 years' experience in mining infrastructure design.- Intermediate or above in English language, required Available for travelingContract: 12 monthsLocation: Chile, Santiago.
