It is located in the Tarapaca Region, at an altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level and approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique.Project considers the construction of a concentrator plant near the mine; a tailings deposit; a pipeline for the transportation of copper concentrate; a desalination plant supplying sea water - which will be sent by an aqueduct to the concentrator and facilities for the reception, filtering and shipment of the concentrate in the Patache Norte sector, south of Iquique.**SUMMARY**:Under general supervision, supports issue management, external affairs, communications, or community affairs programs for a business unit, project, or corporate group. Responsibilities may include writing for Bechtel publications and websites, responding to and initiating media inquiries, and supporting events planning. Performs research and other special assignments as assigned.**JOB DIMENSIONS**:**A. Contacts**:- Maintains contact with appropriate levels of Bechtel organization, including business unit, service organization, office, and project management in writing stories/articles, supporting external affairs programs, and researching special assignments.- Maintains contact with media and client representatives to respond to requests for information.- Maintains contact with community and civic leaders in other companies in the communities of Bechtel's business to research and initiate media contacts and develop approaches to special projects.**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**:Performs duties in some or all of the following:Issue Management1. Supports liaison with appropriate government, political, media, civic, and industry peers, as well as other interested parties, in the communities of Bechtel business.Media Relations2. Responds to routine media inquiries. With supervisor approval, researches issues and responds to more complex media inquiries or initiates media contact.3. Reviews media, trade, and technical publications for references to Bechtel or topics related to Bechtel interests; administers the maintenance of files of these publications and articles and distribution to appropriate internal audiences.Communications4. With appropriate guidance, researches story ideas, conducts interviews with internal and external sources to Bechtel, and writes, edits, and maintains content for a variety of external Bechtel publications.5. Researches, writes, edits and maintains content for the internal communications program, including face-to-face engagement, electronic news, intranet management, and change management activities.Corporate Citizenship6. Supports the administration of Bechtel's contributions and memberships programs; supports the maintenance of records and reports of political contributions and expenditures, as prescribed by law.7. Supports the organization's events planning and management activities.General8. Implements and maintains policies, procedures, and processes that ensure the business unit, project, or program's communication needs are met in a consistent, efficient, and flexible manner.
