**Description**:**Communications Planner**The Gartner Research Board (GRB) is Gartner's dedicated service for the senior-most technology and digital leaders from the largest and most complex end-user IT organizations globally. The GRB is the leading global peer advisory research service supporting the mission-critical priorities of these senior leaders through a combination of shared community insight (members learning from each other's experiences) and thought leadership, as well as through external connections from our extended ecosystem of vendor, academic, and investor relationships.About this role:The Communications Planner is responsible for supporting the Branding & Sales Enablement Team as well as the Research Team with the writing, proofreading and campaign management of externally facing materials. Gartner Research Board (GRB) Communications Planner function spans writing for member communications, prospect coordination, event communication management, intranet, newsletters in support of GRB mission-critical priorities and programs.**Major Responsibilities/ Accountabilities**:**Internal and External Communications**:- Understand GRB strategy to align with the mission-critical priorities- Help with the execution required for all global messaging as well as the ability to write and assess the quality of other written materials in support of GRB team- Support Internal Gartner Research Board Communications, including:- Intranet and Internal Marketing - create, maintain, and update content for associates to utilize as well as drive engagement and ensure governance for content contributors; grow adoption- Work closely with Gartner Research Board stakeholders, prioritizing content and workflow aligned to strategy- Support External Gartner Research Board Communications including:- Help drive member attendance with clear and concise messages and CTAs- Work in partnership with Research and Events to develop, create, innovate and own marketing strategies for all events to meet attendance and events goals- Support the creation and production of meeting communication to registered and non-registered attendees of Gartner Research Board (GRB) Meetings- Maintain content on web-based portal- Support Branding team with data management and ad hoc initiatives- Analyze campaign trends on a continual basis- Maintain data on dashboards to track performance- Assist with special initiatives and programs at GRB Meetings- Support the Research team with editing when neededAdditional responsibilities of the Communication & Writing Specialist are as follows:- Interacts in a highly professional manner, internally and externally- Participates in team meetings- Works autonomously to manage projects and maintain communication with all stakeholders involved- Proven ability to analyze data and project coordination experience**Education and Experience**:- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred- 3-5 years' experience in a professional environment- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)- Excellent command of the English language, especially the rules of syntax, punctuation and grammar- Excellent research and analytical skills- Excellent time management and the ability to stick to deadlines- Excellent creativity skills- Good observation skills and a keen attention to detail- Proofreading ability for correct grammar and consistency- Excellent customer service skills- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously- Work with team members across time zones- Proficiency in the use of word-processing software, including content management systems- In-depth knowledge of style guidesTechnical / Professional Skills & Competencies- Adobe Creative Suite- Highly organized with excellent time management skills- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ExcelAnalytical skills**Who are we?**Gartner delivers actionable, objective insight to executives and their teams.
