In this role you will report to the Head of Inventory Optimization.This is a great opportunity for a dedicated individual who will have the responsibility to gather demand information from our market areas to ensure the availability of our spare and wear parts in a dynamic supply chain environment.In this position, you will collaborate with our local market area operations and global functions to enhance the accuracy of our global forecast of demand and translate the captured inputs of demand changes into datasets/summaries and provide change recommendations towards inventory, product, and supply management to enhance the availability of our spare and wear products to customers.**As a global Demand Planning Engineer, your role includes**:Collecting and consolidating market area demand/forecast dataPerforming statistical analysis on demand and inventory data to identify inventory risks or deviations from plansFacilitating regular demand planning meetings on schedule with the key contributorsHanding over information and datasets from demand plan process to inventory/supply plan processesTranslating identified requirements to inventory proposals and plans globallyProviding recommendations for inventory parameter changes based on captured informationMonitoring the accuracy of the actual forecast vs historical and providing insights for improvementContributing to the development of respective business metrics/KPI'sProviding feedback to enhancing the demand planning templates/reports and systemCommunicating and working together seamlessly and proactively with the stakeholdersParticipating in Global Inventory Planning system monitoring on-call duty service if neededTo succeedSuitable educational background, e.g. M.Sc. or B.Sc. with specialization in Supply Chain / Inventory Management / S&OP / Procurement /Product ManagementMinimum few years of relevant work experience in any of the above areasRelationship and stakeholder management skills are required to succeed in actively engaging different cross functional teams to acquire and share informationCapability to handle larger quantities of information/data is required and strong excel skillsComfortable with IT systems in general, with track record of learning and adopting new solutions and functionalities to daily work practicesExperience in dedicated planning systems and forecasting tools is a plusGood skills to write executive summaries of meetings and creating business presentationsExperience in demand planning processes in sales and operations planning (S&OP) is a plusTechnical skills are a plus, as we are a looking that you would have genuine interest in learning about our mining and construction products that you would be managing in your roleFluent verbal and written English communication skills are requiredWe offerWe offer you an interesting and challenging role.
