As Financial Analyst you will have an active role in supporting management decisions and the overall strategy in Maersk with analysis and insights that are enabled by strong knowledge of both finance and the business. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to provide accurate and data-based information on company's performance. You will research and analyze financial information to help company make well informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements.
Key responsibilities: Driving financial reporting with focus on time and quality.
Preparing insightful analysis to support top management decision making.
Performance management across Maersk Logistics and Services business incl. preparation of material to senior management and regional (LAM) teams.
Facilitating the forecasting process as well as strategic business planning.
Ad hoc financial analyses that can include anything from determining the cost of capital for investment purposes, option valuation for management incentive schemes to weekly/monthly performance management and deep diving into revenue and cost structures.
Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Measure financial results against budgets and forecasts.
Consolidating and analyzing financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, etc.), considering company's goals and financial standing.
Assembling and summarizing data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.
Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking, and process analysis.
Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance and develop forecast models.
Identify trends and recommend actions to finance business partners based on sound analysis.
We are looking for: We are looking for people with a strong analytical mindset that can handle multiple tasks and challenges at hand, while maintaining a good sense of urgency.
Ability to analyze data, and translate analysis into specific, targeted actions to drive results.
Over 5 years of work experience within Finance teams, working with financial planning & analysis, investment analytics, project controlling, management consultancy, business development or equivalent.
Degree in finance, accounting or related field.
You have a positive attitude and have outspoken collaboration skills and work well with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint are a requirement as you will be leading financial modelling. Experience from working with OneStream and/or business intelligence systems together with financial software applications and databases is an advantage.
You have a solid understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
You are a self-starter, striving for continuous process improvements and hold high attention to the detail.
Excellent communication skills and mastering the discipline of presenting data in a clear and concise manner is a must.
Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
English fluency.
