This role is a key technical resource in rolling out, developing and supporting our field deployable geochemical technology in their respective region.Tools include Veracio's Truscan logging trailer deployed in either the drilling workflow or core storage facility. This role is expected to provide technical support for the operation, calibration, structural and chemical understanding that supports Truscan and other Veracio tools, working alongside our mining clients. As Veracio continues to develop a suite of new tools that require internal and external end user training and support, learning and training is a significant part of this role.This role may at times require working rosters that align with end user requirements and is suited to a Geologist, Geochemist or Geophysicist with hands on field experience.**Want to know a little more about the role? Day-to-day responsibilities include**:- Use and deployment of Veracio geotechnical and geochemical tools to end user satisfaction- On site core scanning using Boart Longyear's state of the art XRF technology (TruScan)- Preparation of calibration samples.- Training of drill crews and field technicians to operate geochemical analytical equipment- Provide feedback on technology innovation and documentation- Trouble shooting technical issues tied to geochemical analytical equipment- Geochemical technology hardware and software maintenance as required- Review and QA/QC of all geochemical data generated- Manage working relationships with drill crews, geologists, mine supervisors, Veracio team and management- Display and maintain safe behaviors which exceed the standards of our clients- This role requires 50-80% travel depending on operational requirement and schedule flexibility to align with time zones of distributed remote teams and consultants.**A few other things we're looking for**:- Bachelor degree in Geology, Geochemistry and/or Geophysics- Background and/or understanding of XRF related hardware and software- XRF technology experience tied to hard rock geochemistry- Understanding of hard rock geochemistry and Ore deposit knowledge- Ability to work with and engage a diverse group of stakeholders- Mine site related field experience- Valid class B Driver's License- Excellent customer service skills- Strong communication skills- Good organization**Other desirable experience**:- Basic mechanical and electronics skills- Basic SQL, R Studio and Python knowledge- Ability to adapt to new IT systems- Geological Lab experience**Perks, Benefits and Compensation**We know that talented people are attracted to companies with long term success and an amazing culture.
