The HSSE Manager Chile will lead and promote a culture of health and safety in Maersk Chile that is focused on continuous improvement, aiming to create synergies and standardization between all business units aligned with corporate and WCSA HSSE program. Direct the processes associated with the development and implementation of a risk prevention strategy following international and corporate standards in safety, health, environment, and social responsibility, and in full compliance with all applicable legal regulations.
Key responsibilities: Develop HSSE standards to support Maersk's strategy and align them with international and local legal obligations.
Establish and maintain an efficient management system to provide HSE data and information to the corresponding authorities and stakeholders, while improving efficiency and added value for internal and external customers and third parties.
Collect, maintain, review and report all HSSE statistics, key performance indicators, perform trend analysis and manage non-compliance and deviations.
Lead the implementation of standards in all business units in Chile.
Provide training to the business units in HSE related matters such as minimum global standards, HSE management systems and legal obligations.
Manage the Health, Safety and Environment teams, providing guidance and motivation, seeking to ensure effective and efficient processes, in order to guarantee the quality and veracity of the information provided related to HSE matters.
Lead activities related to both internal and external audits, guaranteeing the validity and quality of the mechanisms used.
Assist, advise and involve Management in HSE matters, including the implementation and compliance of policies, standards and strategies.
Provide technical advice to managers on any HSE-related issue.
Ensure that standards and procedures are established, implemented and maintained.
Promote HSE awareness for employees, clients and stakeholders.
Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in alignment with Maersk´s values and culture.
Ensure that the highest levels of safety are applied in all activities.
Lead the Development and implementation of HSE strategies focused on reducing incidents and preventing accidents.
We are looking for: Bachelor´s Degree or equivalent in Civil, Industrial Engineering, HSE, or similar.
Preferred Master´s degree or International Diploma in areas directly related to the position.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar positions.
Knowledge in Environmental, Health, Labor and Safety regulations.
Knowledge of strategic planning and management system.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
