Oversee and supervise the conduct of seamanship operations on the vessel as well as ensuring the vessel vehicle deck operations are effectively conducted in accordance with company requirements and vessel work instructions.**Functional Responsibilities/Key Tasks**- Manage the DP ratings daily work routines, including planned maintenance routines.- Ensure that crew Hours of Rest schedules are effectively planned and adhered to.- Operate the Bow / Stern Ramps as ordered / required.- Supervise mooring operations as directed, highlighting any deficiencies / defects in any mooring equipment onboard to the Chief Officer.- Supervise and oversee vehicle deck operations.- Ensure that Vehicle Deck and other cargo securing arrangements are in place and informing the Bridge that Vehicle Deck is secured for sea.- Accountable for the checking and stowage of Deck Department stores on arrival onboard.- Accountable for the control and safe storage of all paint stock onboard.- Ensure that dangerous goods are safely stowed & secured in accordance with the Cargo Securing Manual.- Accountable for the bunkering of fresh water as per Chief Officer's instructions.- Responsible for ensuring regular Vehicle Deck and cargo checks are completed on passage.- Scaffold tower erection / dismantling.- Accountable for Deck Department tools and their safe operating condition.- Duties as required by muster list in an emergency, including drills and emergencies.- Conduct bridge watch keeping duties as required.- Maintaining the Engine Room and auxiliary machinery spaces in a clean condition and reporting to the Chief Engineer any leakage of oil or water found.- Assisting in any work connected with planned maintenance, breakdown of plant machinery or repair work being carried out by the Engineering staff.- Ensuring that the correct PPE is worn by all DP Ratings at all times in accordance with the company PPE Matrix.- Obtain Permits to Work as required for designated tasks.- Assisting in keeping the machinery spaces as a safe working environment.- Assisting the Engineering staff with bunkering duties.- Any other duties as reasonably required by the Master and Officers.**Qualifications, Skills, and Experience****Essential**- STCW II/5 Certificate of Competency as an Able Seafarer Deck.- Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate- Navigational Watch Rating certificate.- Valid ENG 1 medical certificate.- STCW 2010 Certification including- Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting- Personal Survival Techniques- Elementary First Aid- Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities- ISPS Designated Security Duties Certificate- Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats Certificate- Crowd Management Certificate- Crisis Management Certificate- Passenger & Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity Training Certificate**Desirable**- Effective communication skills and smart in appearance.- Experience acting up in the Higher Grade would be advantageous.- Be safety focused and familiar with CoSWP, permit to work and risk assessment processes within the company.- Be customer focused and have a clear understanding of the customer interface and have a proactive approach to customer care.**Our People: Values & Behaviours**:- To navigate the waters, ensuring life thrives wherever we are_**PEOPLE FIRST**We lead by example and inspire others to give their best.We work constructively with colleagues in a 'one team' spirit.**LOCALITY**We put the customer at the heart of everything we do.We are accountable for our actions and performance.**BRAVERY**We demonstrate good judgement and decision making.We act with integrity in all that we do.The recruitment Information pack is designed to provide you with as much informati
