This network is part of SAP's global Data Protection & Privacy team reporting to SAP's Group Data Protection Officer. The task of the local Data Protection and Privacy Coordinator is to support the local responsible management in monitoring and implementing data privacy requirements.We are looking for a local Data Protection and Privacy Legal Counsel for Chile, Peru, Ecuador who should support data protection and privacy matters for these regions**_._****EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**- Support the local CFOs for their assigned region in fulfilling their local responsibilities for data privacy issues,- Monitor compliance with local privacy regulations and other applicable laws and policies.- Analyze changes to local laws and provide gap analysis and support to local implementation projects.- Assist in strengthening the global data protection community within SAP- Support in case of:- Inquiries from regulatory authorities in the assigned region.- Data privacy breaches,- Other supervisory requests- Act as main point of contact for local supervisory authorities- Assist in the creation of local data protection policies or standards required for assigned countries- Harmonize documentation, processes, and overall data protection approach for assigned countries in close coordination with DPP team- Provide education and training to ensure profound knowledge required to help SAP comply with applicable data protection laws within the assigned region- Ensure documentation of data privacy compliance based on DPP Control Framework**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES****EDUCATION**- Graduation from accredited law school, further graduation advantageous**PROFESSIONAL TRAINING & CERTIFICATION**- Licensed to practice law in one of the appropriate jurisdictions**REQUIRED SKILLS**- Good knowledge of local data protection laws and best practices and/or strong desire to learn data protection laws, local data protection laws in the region- Good written and verbal communication- Good presentation skills- Good collaborative work relationship skills with similar functions across the company- Customer focused and business driven- Good competence with various tools- Fluency in English and Spanish**WORK EXPERIENCE**- Not required but preferred: good knowledge of local laws, general knowledge of company processes and collaboration with global/cross-functional teams.- 0-2 years working experience.**LOCATION**- Las Condes, Región Metropolitana, Chile.**NOTE**- Please send your resume in English.- Please send a Cover Letter explaining experience and interest on Data Protection.**We build breakthroughs together****We win with inclusion**SAP's culture of inclusion, focus on health and well-being, and flexible working models help ensure that everyone - regardless of background - feels included and can run at their best.
