**Camping CommitmentStatement**:
As a follower of Jesus Christ and a minister of Hisgospel, demonstrate a basic understanding of Young Life's ministrystrategy and participate in providing excellent camping experiencesfor individuals to encounter Jesus Christ and know the truth of God'slove for them.
**Mission & Authority**:
Through bothcontinued formal training and direct experience, lead staff and fosteran environment where guests, staff, and volunteers are well cared forusing the cornerstones of excellence and service. This is a supportrole that works alongside the retail manager to learn all aspects ofthe Retail Department.
**Essential Duties**:
**SpiritualFormation**:_Intentionally provide opportunities for staff to growdeeper in their relationship with Jesus._
- Participate inopportunities for growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.
-Demonstrate spiritual leadership by supporting spiritual health ofdepartment as directed by retail manager.
- With direction frommanager, develop an annual personal spiritual growthplan.
**Attentive Hospitality**:_Equip servant leaders whoanticipate and respond to the needs of our guests, staff and vendors,through Christ-like service._
- Demonstrate a posture of servicethat anticipates guest needs and responds with professionalism throughintentional decisions and systems.
- Maintain professional writtenand verbal communication to serve staff, guests and vendors atcamp.
- Demonstrate customer care by assisting customers withinquires and product selection.
- Show hospitality to all who serveand work within the department.
**InterpersonalRelationships**:_Help build relationships that reflect the characterof God with guests, staff, vendors and neighbors to foster healthycommunity._

- Maintain healthy communication whileworking with other departments at camp.
**ComprehensiveStewardship**:_Manage with integrity the finances, people, buildingsand equipment that have been entrusted to our ministry._
- Showcompetency in financial stewardship and integrity.
- Develop andequip retail interns and volunteers to participate in comprehensivestewardship of retail centers.
- Participate in system developmentfor specific retail centers; including inventory management, ordertracking, financial awareness (Concur), and retail centerappearance.
- Develop understating for equipment maintenance andoperation as needed for retail centers
- Participate in weeklyGuest Group Information meetings; developing appropriate retail hoursbased on guest group history and requests
- Utilize the LINK toschedule DIN, routine tasks and preventative maintenance.
- TalentDevelopment: Through a consistent and accountable evaluation process,we identify and provide opportunities for staff in continuingeducation, leadership development, career-pathing andcross-training.
- Demonstrate a desire to grow through engagementin the Individual Development Plan process and participation intraining and development opportunities.
- Develop understanding ofoperations in order to serve in retail manager'sabsence.

- Ensure that retail areas are cleanand ready for guests.
- Ensure that stock and supplies are atlevels to meet guest needs and sales.
- Assist in re-orders asdirected by Retail Manager.
- Receive merchandise for retailareas.
- Demonstrate and train proper food handling and storageguidelines.
- Assist in visual display of retailareas.
**Training Expectations**:
- Participate in YoungLife Pace Call trainings.
- Engage with weekly camp meetings andspiritual development opportunities.
- Maintain ServSafe and FirstAid/CPR certifications.
**Camp or Job Specific WorkingConditions**:
- Hours will include evening and weekendshifts.
- Working conditions will include lifting up to 50lbs,squatting, kneeling and ladder use.
- Participate in camp events -which will include outdoor work environments.
- Acquire properknowledge and use of cleaning chemicals.
- This position wouldprimarily oversee Windy Gap's concessions (snack bar) oper
