Come help us fix it.**About the Team**As Market Manager, you will:Effectively translate region's strategic goals into operational plans, align your teams accordingly, and execute swiftly to success.Anticipate and quickly address operational constraints (e.g. HPM, vendor capacity, etc).Consistently cascade relevant information to team and champions company change.Constantly set expectations and holds directs accountable.Use the management tools to performance manage poor performers.**Role Responsibilities**:- Manage vision and purpose of team and shapes a collaborative culture for the market where team with unique personalities and skills are motivated to work together towards a unified goal.- Is adept at up-skilling the team by not only training directly but also by leveraging know-how of individuals across the team.- Sustain morale through constrained or difficult operating environments; keeps team engaged and promotes diversity and inclusion.- Provide regional-level guidance on talent identification, development, and placement.- Build team structures in a way that optimizes efficiency and margin (e.g. temporarily leverages 3rd parties during peak periods)- Rely on building formal processes and feedback loops rather than heroics to uplevel and scale the operation and team.- Use data to accurately identify trends and perform root cause analyses.- Written communication clearly and concisely synthesize problems and puts forth compelling and convincing solutions.- Flex to the unique needs of the region- Own being the connective tissues between direct team and cross-functional stakeholders.- Make strategic decisions about pulling levers to optimize speed, cost, and quality.- Contribute directly to regional or even national programs that yield and sustain operational efficiency or margin-level results (e.g. if pilots a new process locally, obligated to share positive results regionally or nationally).- Manage conflict and executes system and team fixes with little to no guidance.- Regularly identify opportunities for improving tools, processes and methods for completing both the HPM and manager job.**Skills Needed**:- 5+ years residential construction/renovation management- 3+ of supervisory experience- Bachelor's degree preferred**Bonus Points If**:- Management and leadership experience- Strong attention to detail and deadlines- Strong technical and verbal communication skills- Ability and willingness to learn new software programs- Quantitative and data-driven; able to draw insights from data, but also to make decisions based on imperfect data- Expertise in estimating and managing residential construction and renovations projects- Ability to operate in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment- A team-first mentality and eagerness to set and meet aggressive goalsLI-AH1**More About Us**To learn how we are reinventing the Real Estate industry check out our website, to hear about our culture directly from team members visit The Muse and to discover what we are building for our customers read our blog posts.**We Offer the Following Benefits and Perks**- Full medical, dental, and vision with optional 85% coverage for dependents- Flexible vacation policy- Generous parental leave- Paid time off to volunteer**Opendoor Values Openness**Our team celebrates our diverse backgrounds.
