Job Summary:The Plant Manager in the automotive industry is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of a manufacturing facility that produces automotive components or vehicles. The role involves leading a team, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimize processes.Key Responsibilities:Production Management:- Plan, organize, and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and efficiency goals.- Collaborate with production supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.Team Leadership:- Lead and supervise a diverse team of production workers, engineers, supervisors, and support staff.- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and professional growth.- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate training to enhance team capabilities.Quality Assurance:- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Continuous Improvement:- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the manufacturing operations.- Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to enhance efficiency and productivity.Communication:- Liaise with upper management to provide regular updates on production status, challenges, and achievements.- Create and keep good relationships with its peers.- Facilitate effective communication between different departments within the plant.Qualifications and Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management within the automotive industry.- Strong leadership and people management skills.- In-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and quality standards.- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.- Good Energy, attitude, proactivity and integrity are essential for the professional- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for production planning and management.- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.- Fluent in English and Spanish
