About the Role The Program Manager - Quality Advocate role at Uber offers a unique opportunity to shine in all aspects of testing, from organizing small bug bashes to orchestrating large-scale testing across the globe. As part of the Delivery organization, you will work alongside your quality advocate peers and automation engineers to ensure that our products and features are released to Production with high quality.
What You'll Do End-to-end test design, execution and maintenance of new features in the UberEats space with US product/engineering teams and offshore/onshore testing vendorsServe as a dependable point of contact between cross-functional teams and offshore testersImplement flexible processes that meet team needs and help keep the teams working efficientlyEnsure regular regression testing of existing features is done in a timely mannerIdentify quality gaps and recommend tech, process and tooling improvementsCommunicate issues related to testing and propose solutions to remedy issuesWork with offshore bug management team to ensure that bugs are triaged and follow-up to resolutionWork closely with offshore testers to ensure that their deliverables are of high quality and on-timeWork closely with Release Management to ensure timely release of our appsTranslate Product/Engineering Requirements into core flows and test casesDriving alignment with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, release, data science, program management, external testing contractors/entities)Leading multiple testing efforts, simultaneously, distributing work for and tracking parallel testing projectsAcquiring and sharing subject matter expertise in the product application/features being testedProject management and delivering successful outcomesWhat You'll Need Advanced English levelAdvanced SQL levelManual testing consumer-facing mobile and web applications experienceProject and stakeholder management (software testing-related) experienceFamiliarity with iOS and Android devices, web browsersFamiliarity with MacOS environmentTo be a self-starter who has a keen eye for improvement opportunitiesHave the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentPreferred qualifications Bachelor's in Computer Science or similar backgroundPrevious experience as a QA Engineer or QA AnalystQuality Assurance methodologies knowledgeTestRailPython, JavaE2E frameworks: PlayWright or Cypress ProTesting experience (8+ years)Quality assurance of global consumer applications in a continuous integration/continuous delivery environmentTesting highly scalable end-to-end web and mobile experiencesWorking across different time zones (US/India mostly)Experience processing and analyzing data sets to recommend/make improvementsPast rideshare / delivery industry experience (roles in customer support etc qualifies)We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
