Job Description:PURPOSELead and manage efficiently the day-to-day management of a program of projects to ensure safe completion of key targets including the study and execution phases and the hand over to the operation to achieve the Business Needs and Requirements.KEY TASKSResponsible and accountable for the development and oversight of a portfolio of projects consisting of 5-15 projects with an estimated capital expenditure of US$200-$500m.The project superintendents for the projects within the portfolio will report directly to the program managers during the development phase of the project and the program managers will provide governance and support to project superintendents during execution.The program managers will be responsible for ensuring that engineering and project controls discipline standards and requirements are implemented in accordance with the requirements and in accordance with the requirements defined by the business services and project engineering manager.Lead the analysis and identification of opportunities to enable step changes in value realisation by creating novel management and technical pathways for the integration and/or adaptation of execution cycle time activities and sequencing to drive cost reduction, mitigate project risk and ensure sustainability of operations post commissioning.Actively collaborate and integrate with design engineering, technical and project planning teams to shape the constructability profile of projects by introducing industry best practice and leading edge approaches to project design and execution. Qualifications:Qualifications:An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline.A postgraduate qualification (Masters / Doctoral degree or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.Technical Knowledge: Proven ability to understand and be able to synthesise cross-functional information from functions (This will include geology, metallurgy/process, mine engineering, geostatistical modelling, operations, projects, information technology, tax, treasury, financials, environmental, social, political, land, legal, human resources, supply chain, and security)Overall project management of multiple project evaluations at one timeExperience in wide variety of projects, with varying financial drivers, varying project risks and project costs up to $500m.Strong track record of leading the analysis and early business/engineering to establish the conceptual viability of step changes in resource and technology endowment opportunities within a global, multi-commodity mining organization.Significant proof of leadership and practical experience in Project Management concepts and principles, and the application thereof in a technical environment.Technical experience in one or more relevant technical disciplines (e.g. Mining, Engineering, Project Management, Geosciences or Processing) would be an advantage.Demonstrated experience in a senior people leadership role within a technical environment, including the coordination of knowledge sharing across a discipline, managing workload and reviewing the work of others to ensure consistency with task requirements.Other RequirementsPhysical health compatible to work at 5.000 metres above sea level.Spanish & English fluentSocial Process SkillsThe ability to have productive and appropriate person-person interactions through understanding social behaviour and situations:Self-awareness:Able to analyse own behaviours and predict the impact of those behaviours on others; can manage responses appropriately to a wide range of challenging situations and circumstances.Recognises own behaviour as being hugely symbolic in shaping organisational culture and gaining commitment and support to change.Team processes:Able to link the importance of good social process to successful business outcomes – providing clarity for their teams not just on the 'what' but also on the 'how'.Fosters a climate that is inclusive and where people in their teams feel safe to contribute, collaborate, receive feedback and coaching.Able to hypothesise and make predictions about how teams are likely to behave in response to change.Collaboration:Builds productive cross-functional business alliances with internal and external stakeholders, working in a collaborative and constructive way.Identifies the best approach to influence, or negotiate, both with individuals and groups, adapting responses appropriately in order to achieve a productive outcome.Able to challenge others in a constructive way in order to resolve issues and conflict.
