This technical support will typically include:- High-level comparison of different technological solutions to improve the performance of bi-facial PV technologies,- Review of different technical parameters proposed by inverter suppliers for the PV industry- Use of specialized software tools (like PVsyst or similar) to predict generation patterns for different PV project designs and tracker solutions,- Develop risk assessment and financial modelling to elaborate business cases for PV Power solutions when required,- **Technical support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (or BESS) associated to Renewable energy Projects. **This technical support will typically include:- Analysis of BESS for energy shifting strategies associated to wind, solar or hybrid generation power plants- Analysis of frequency regulation services using BESS systems- Evaluation of capacity payments for BESS systems.- Develop risk assessment and financial modelling to elaborate business cases for BESS solutions when required- **Technical support to improve the performance of Wind Turbines. **This technical support will typically include:- Elaboration of different KPI's to identify the Performance of individual Wind Turbines on a wind farm- Analysis of wind resource from Met Masts and LiDAR technologies.- Use of Specialized tools (like WindFarmer or similar) to develop wind resource assessment ,- Develop Yaw misalignment analyses- Identify wake effects and turbulences using Nacelle LiDAR Technologies.- Develop risk assessment and financial modelling to elaborate business cases for wind power solutions when required.**Conventional and H2 Field**- **Technical Support to prepare the efficient and safe use of Hydrogen **. This technical support will typically include:- Evaluate the efficient integration of H2 production assets withing the current electrical and gas network- Evaluate the conversion to H2 (or hydrogen carries) of the different industrial assets using fossil fuels,- **Technical support for the evaluation of the condition of thermal generation assets like turbines, boilers and auxiliary working under cycling conditions. **This study will typically include:- Site inspections to assess the current condition of the asset under investigation and identify different damage mechanics.- Data analysis to identify deviations from the normal or recommended operation conditions of the asset.- Risk assessment to identify the main failure mechanism that may affect the units and define countermeasures to reduce control the level of risk.- Installation of different condition monitoring systems to measure and evaluate in real time the behaviour of different operation parameters.- Vibrations analysis to determine the rotodynamic condition of different turbomachinery.- Supervision and interpretation of different NDT techniques.- **Technical support to improve the performance of thermal power plants. **This technical support will typically include:- Elaboration of different KPI's to identify the Performance of individual turbines or boilers.- Analysis of operational parameters.- Review O&M information.- Use of specialized software to simulate different conditions of operation and the behaviour of the analysed unit.- **Technical support for different investigations to be performed on Thermal assets. **These investigations will typically include:- Fact findings on damaged components, identifying damage mechanisms and potential causes of failure.- Support power plants on technical discussions with O&M, insurance companies and local regulators.- Witness inspections and different procedures performed by external contractors.- Evaluate different technologies in the case of upgrades or retrofitting's.**Qualifications**:The position is localized in Providencia, Santiago de Chile, and would start on as soon as possible.**Job **: R & D / Laboratories**Primary Location **: South America-Chile-Región Metropolitana-Santiago**Organization **: LABORELEC**Schedule **: Full-time**Nature of Respo
