Location: Latin America, Chile, Santiago de Chile- Ref: JOHNCRANELATAM00883- Division: John Crane- Job Function: Operations**Job Description**:Manage the acquisition, transfer and import of supplies, materials, products and services required to maintain the company's operations, while permanently optimizing purchasing management, in terms of better lead-times, prices, import costs, response times and constant updated informationDuties & ResponsibilitiesLead and execute the purchasing process of the company.- Develop together with management and Engineering the most suitable national and international suppliers in technical, legal and cost terms for the company.- Permanently evaluate and provide feedback to suppliers with respect to observed versus expected performance.- Permanently follow up on the compliance of the purchases agreed with Planning, in order to fulfill the acquired commitments.- Coordinate with Operations the timely and correct management of cargo reception and its complete documentation.- Coordinate with Finance the timely and correct management of supplier invoices- Maintain updated the material master in terms of lead-times and purchase conditions- Maintain updated the different KPIs of the area, monthly and weekly.- Have knowledge of the documents applicable to their process and execute the activities of their work area, according to what is established in the Management System, to ensure compliance with the requirements in terms of quality, environment, safety and occupational health.- Recognize the impact that the execution of their functions has on the fulfillment of the quality requirements established for the products or services requested by the client. - Classify and segregate solid waste resulting from their activities.- Inform their supervisors about any unsafe conditions identified in the work area (environment, tools, machinery, etc.) and provide suggestions for their correction.- Alert about critical activities, equipment and materials.- Actively participate in improvement activities, training, courses, drills and/or any event that requires their participation- Keep the work area clean and tidy.- Comply with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) where required, as well as with the guidelines, rules and regulations on occupational health and safety.- Ensure their own safety and that of their co-workers.Diversity & InclusionWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
