You will be accountable for sales of specific products in Electrification Installation Products in US, driving sales volumes and margins. You will serve as technical sales and application specialist for the Premier Industrial product portfolio of T&B products within Central and West TX. This position is focused on both generating revenue and creating demand at Industrial End Users, Contractors, EPCs, OEMs, and Engineering Firms. You will be responsible for delivering strong product messaging and preferred/approved status for ABB Installation products in customer specifications is critical. The focused product portfolio includes Ty-Rap, T&B Liquidtight conduit systems, T&B Rigid Fittings, Ocal, Ty-Duct, Color-Keyed, Blackburn, and Sta-Kon connectors. Candidate must live within this assigned territory.
Your responsibilitiesServe as the technical lead, ensuring ABB Installation Products systems and solutions are preferred/approvedProvide coverage and application expertise to Industrial End Users & Contractors, OEMs, & Consulting Engineers Be the local product expert to generate revenue for the products in the assigned portfolioSupport account managers/reps with technical aspects of the products sold via distributor partnersBe tightly integrated with local sales teams to ensure specification efforts are aligned with target market segmentsProvide product/application training to partner distributorsBring voice of the customer on new product opportunities, product gaps and market trends to the commercial and product management teams for actionDevelop and deliver training classes to educate influencers and customers on industry topics and ABB solutions that address their design needs and applicationsSupport ABB customer base nationally when requested by management based on technical needs of the teamUtilize SFDC (Sales Force Dot Com) to document large project opportunities, filling and working an expected pipelineYour backgroundBachelor's degree, with preference in Electrical Engineering or other engineering fields 3 plus years demonstrated experience of technical sales experience, with preference in the Electrical IndustryKnowledge of industry codes and standardsProficient use of MS Word, PPT, Excel, and use of a CRM systemCustomer focused and passion for customer developmentStrong communication skills to influence customer specifications and negotiate with customers principals/executives on issues that may have future business implications Experience in a global environment interfacing with many cultures and languages a plusCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceWellbeing programHealthcare planMore about usABB Installation Products Division (formerly Thomas&Betts),is the number one manufacturer of electrification products in North America with a 125-year history of providing innovation and customer- focused solutions for connecting and protecting electrical systems, as well as a unique differentiated medium voltage offering.
