Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated. Job Summary: The SAP Basis Administrator provides administration and support for the SAP environment. The Basis Administrator is responsible for routine maintenance, operation, upgrades, and plays a role in planning and executing migrations and other major SAP projects. This position will be key to further exploitation, stability, and scalability of the overall SAP environment, This position will work with a team of Analysts, Developers, and external partners to ensure the proper operation of the SAP environment. Duties & Responsibilities: * Apply patches and plug-ins using SPAM and SAINT * Responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring the SAP environment to include ABAP dump analyses, performance tuning, analyzing alerts and researching causes and best practice solutions. * Perform user management on the SAP environment (locking/unlocking SAP accounts, roles/profile administration, etc.) * Perform SAP Router and Technical Administration, to include upgrade and updates for Kernel, License Administration, Configured RFC connection, etc. * Prepare comprehensive client-specific documentation regarding system maintenance, installation and configuration. * Monitor the system performance and analytics to assess workload and usage for maximized uptime and performance. * Manage SAP Job Management through creation, tracking, and monitoring of the daily/periodical jobs as well as scheduled jobs. (i.e., batch processes, disk space utilizes, table size, etc.) * Administer the HANA licenses and overall user licensing. * Collaborate with business users to create materials and resources to understand needs in their specialty area. * Work as a member of a team to develop strategies for an effective work process. * Stay informed and current with best practice and industry standards for SAP administration. * Drive the IT culture and be a valued partner for both IT and the Woodgrain business. Requirements: * Must be able to effectively communicate by speaking, reading, and writing in English. * Bachelor's degree in a technical areas such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business. Equivalent training and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. * At least 3 years of experience working in a technical IT operational role similar to this position. * Previous experience with SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Basis, and SAP Solution Manager is preferred. * Must posses a strong understanding and knowledge of master data processes and terminology in a manufacturing environment.
