Consideremos la inclusión y la diversidad como aspectos fundamentales para el logro de los desafíos presentes y futuros._Arauco, a global leader in the production and export of wood products, is seeking an **Internal Control and Compliance Specialist to join our team in Chile. **The role will be based in** Santiago, Chile, reporting to the North American Compliance Officer.****Position Summary**:This role will be responsible for the support of operational policies including assessing, defining, and monitoring company-wide risks to ensure accuracy and completeness, while identifying control gaps, and implementing process and system solutions to mitigate risk. This role will also assist compliance department with certain system/process issues, identify root cause, policy review, document action plans and provide training and coaching as needed. In addition, this role will work on small to medium projects addressing new or inefficient processes and tools that have a Corporate impact, including identifying, documenting, and providing recommendations.- Perform internal controls assessments (e.g., walkthrough, design, intensive reviews) and monitor methodologies to validate the presence and effectiveness of key controls and ensure compliance with the Company's risk & controls matrices, GAAP, and internal policies & procedures.- Responsible for preparing, maintaining and updating detailed and accurate documentation according to standards, including narratives, control descriptions, risk assessment and analysis & control matrices, process flowcharts, and management responses & remediation.- Perform risk assessment including review, analysis and recommendations of vendors and customers- Lead and/or participate on multiple projects simultaneously ensuring each engagement is conducted in an efficient and effective manner under moderate to mínimal supervision- Identify business risks and control gaps; provide recommendations (remediation and mitigation) to enhance systems and/or processes- Assist the Compliance Officer with implementation of a financial crime prevention policy and Company's Policy on Contributions and other requirements including monthly reporting.- Perform other related duties as assigned**Position Requirements**:- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other technical field such as Engineering or Mathematics- Strong analytical, organizational skills, and ability to work independently- **Advanced English**, with excellent oral and written communication skills- Fluent in Spanish- +5 years of Experience**Plus (Not Required)**:- Experience in Public Accounting- Experience working with clients in the Manufacturing industry or working in a Manufacturing company- En ARAUCO trabajamos día a día para desarrollar productos forestales renovables que permitan mejoran la vida de las personas, tarea que nos desafía a tener equipos comprometidos, entusiastas y creativos.
