Manages the day to day activity of staff.- Provides feedback on performance appraisals.- Manages the development and training of staff.- Approves paid time off requests (PTO) and ensures human resources policies are followed.- Monitors project costs, budget, schedule, quality, and productivity.- Takes corrective action where necessary.- Maintains continuous, open communication with the project management team, client representative and subcontractor.- Reports on progress, concerns, and listens and responds to concerns of others.- Maintains liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.- Monitors and suggests solutions to construction problems or design flaws as work is in progress.- Orders and schedules delivery of material and equipment, reviewing requisitions and purchase orders for correctness and cost savings.- Performs other duties as required.- Performs quality control inspections and reviews plans and specifications for quality assurance.- Pulls construction permits; codes invoices for job costing; prepares progress reports; general project related paperwork.**Minimum Qualifications**- High School diploma or equivalent.- 8 years of related experience.- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
