Join our Dynamic team and make your mark on the Industry landscape of tomorrow where we pride ourselves in uniting school communities to create endless possibilities for every child.The role of Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and delivering training courses and content that support Heartland School Solutions products and services. Outputs include Pendo guides, knowledge articles, e-learning, video, webinars, and in-person training courses.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**- Knowledge of MySchoolBucks for both Parents and Districts- Design, develop, and deliver training content and programs- E-learning courses, training videos, assessments, job aids, implementation guides, operations manuals, regional workshop presentations, participant guides, facilitator guides, knowledge articles, and Pendo Experiences- Quickly learn new products and features and develop quality training material that prepares employees to interact with customers.- Works with the leadership team to find efficiencies, cross-train employees, and create a one Heartland experience for our customers.- Identify training needs by evaluating employee strengths and weaknesses.- Translate requirements into training that will prepare employees for the next step of their career path.- Build an annual training program and prepare teaching plans.- Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals.- Direct structured learning experiences and monitor results.- Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct orientation sessions.- Assess training effectiveness to ensure the incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behavior.- Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that they reflect any changes.- Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development.- Travel may be required to perform essential training, coaching, and conferences (up to 20%).- Other duties as assigned**Qualifications**- Experience, Education, and Licensure- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience****:- Planning, directing, and organizing project work as required.- Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting- Knowledge of instructional design and learning principles- Selecting or developing training aids including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works- Adequate knowledge of learning management software- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques- Sound decision-making and organizational skills- Ability to present group and individual instruction and training to all levels of the organization.- Proficiency in MS Office**Language Skills**- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from peers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community- Ability to effectively present information to peers, management, and senior leadership**Physical Demands**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
